Leyard video walls in O2 TV Sport's new studio in Prague
O2 TV Sport, the number one sports broadcaster in the Czech Republic, has modernised its studio with the latest technology for the start of the new season. From the new multifunctional production facility, O2 TV Sport broadcasts the accompanying programmes to the football broadcasts of the UEFA Champions League, the Fortuna:Liga, the highest Czech league, but also ice hockey, tennis and various martial arts.
To present its viewers with exclusive content in visual quality that meets the highest standards, O2 TV Sport commissioned our Czech partner AV MEDIA SYSTEMS to upgrade the studio design with state-of-the-art technology. In a record time of 60 days, AV MEDIA SYSTEMS succeeded in bringing the studio set up to date by installing large, high-resolution LED video walls, colour-changing LED backlights, and last but not least, implementing VR/AR technologies. The revised graphic design for content playout, together with the LED lighting for each format or sport, ensures a characteristic look for the studio at the touch of a button.

A truly exclusive sports experience
In addition to the live broadcasts, the large LED surfaces are used by the presenters and experts in the studio for match analyses and the presentation of replays and slow-motion sequences. A total of 60 Leyard TVF cabinets with 1.2mm pixel pitch are distributed over two larger video walls on the sides and a smaller one in the centre. The high resolution is also appreciated by the cameramen in the studio, as it avoids disturbing image effects during camera movements and close-ups. Right from the start of broadcasting, the new studio was very well received by the presenters and experts in the studio. The modern look, the innovative possibilities for analysis in combination with the virtual reality elements, however, also ensure an enhanced television experience, especially for the station's viewers.
